Playing Online Poker

Posted under Poker

Poker is a game that is constantly gaining more and more attention, the game is more popular now than ever and it is finally getting the place it deserves as a serious activity and an amusing way to make money. The media coverage and the new poker shows that have surged over the last decade have taken poker to new and more sophisticated ways to play it. Online Poker is the best example of what I’m talking about. Places like Full Tilt Poker, Bodog Life, UltimateBet, Absolute Poker, Titan Poker and more are substantially growing due the popularity of the game, online poker is a very comfortable way to play the game while you stay at home, work or at any place with an internet access, if you haven’t yet played poker on the internet then you don’t know what you’re missing.

There’s always a game going and you don’t have to worry about transportation. I love to play low-stakes no-limit tournaments online. The winnings can be quite lucrative and even if you only break even - it’s loads of entertainment! You don’t even have to play with real money, you can sign up for an account an play against others using play money. Poker Stars even has free roll tournaments that cost nothing to enter and can win you a free seat at a real money tournament! Money for nothing and your chips for free.

There’s also dozens of poker tournaments, guaranteed pool prizes and promotions running in most poker sites, many online poker sites offer welcome bonuses to all new players as a way to attract more poker aficionados, but don’t get fooled, you have to read the terms and conditions carefully. There are usually some pretty strict rules as to how many raked hands you must play before you ‘earn’ that bonus money. These rules generally do not favor tournament players! On some sites you cannot earn any bonus money by playing tournaments, you must play raked ring games (non-tournaments). Cashing out your winnings is not something to worry about. Most of these sites will credit your NETeller or Firepay account within two business days. It is a rarity if it takes longer than that. So make your deposit, play for a while and once you make money (say after a week), cash out some and it should be in your account within two days. It will then take another two or three days to transfer your money from NETeller/Firepay to your bank account. It works, and it costs nothing.
