Full Tilt adds new “Durrrr Challenge” Info page

Posted under Poker & online poker & poker rooms & poker tournament

Full Tilt Poker has just opened an original info section containing all the information of the “Durrrr Challenge”, an amazing online heads up tournament highlighting some of the best big money online poker players competing against the online poker phenom Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

The innovative new website offers online poker players and fans the opportunity to monitor this amazing durrrr challenge and receive frequent challenge details. With this fresh “durrrr Challenge” site fans can track all the poker action and check out each poker hand played during the poker challenge, and check out lots of statistics, including number of hands played, session time, amount won, average won during each hand and much more.

Around six months ago, the 23 year old internet poker professional issued a heads-up challenge open to any player with the cash, time and capability to accept it. Any player entering the poker challenge has to bet $500,000 against durrrr’s $1.5 million. Tom’s challenge states that a minimum 50,000 poker hands need to be played simultaneously at 4 or more poker tables of no-limit Hold’em or pot-limit Omaha. At the end of the durrrr challenge, the player who has more money will secure the pool. Basically if you enter the Full Tilt Challenge and win $1 after the 50,000 hands, then you will take home Tom’s $1.5 Million, but if he triumphs by a dollar then he will win your $500,000.

Up to now, some poker pros have agreed to to play the “durrrr challenge”, including seven-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Ivey and David Benyamine, yet, only Patrick Antonius has consented to the durrrr challenge. Thus far, both poker players have completed in a total of 20,647 poker hands out of 50,000, with Tom ahead $726,546 total.

Is Showing-Off in Texas Hold’Em a Smart Tactic or a Dumb Idea?

Posted under Poker & poker advice & poker tournament

poker table
Certainly the most detested players at the poker table time and time again will continually be the bragger. You recognize the player I’m talking about. He’s the one that finds a chair at the Texas Hold’em Poker table and makes evident you’re aware that he wants all of your Texas Hold’em Poker chips; parting the Texas Hold’em table with the very same mind-set that he arrived with. Even if he gets killed, he has the thought that he is the finest Texas Hold’em Poker player on the globe.

Though the bulk of poker players would preferably escape from rivals of this sort, there are those who could say that shooting off their mouths might have its good points. So, the big doubt is: Is there honestly such a thing as a clever no-limit Texas Hold’em attention-seeker or a deceitful Texas Hold’em Poker attention-seeker? Showing-off about how accomplished you are in no limit Texas Hold’em poker is mainly just like stating: “I am the most skilled Texas Hold’em player in the world, keep in mind to play the best you can while you’re playing a Texas Hold’em tournament against me!” Most certainly that is the most terrible vibe to send out playing no-limit Texas Hold’em. What’s more, sharing too much information about your no limit Texas Hold’em poker playing method can be quite detrimental to your poker game. You undeniably do not want these guys to know how you play particular no limit Texas Hold’em poker hands.

In addition there are those poker players who may make use of bragging as a kind of Texas Hold’em trick, or bluff. Show-boating when you have a specific no-limit Texas Hold’em hand might fool your opponents and stump them about your no-limit Texas Hold’em playing method. Some people may think that this tactic a bit sneaky, but it is vital to bear in mind that there aren’t any rules against it in Texas Hold’em. Texas Hold’em Poker is all about making a dollar out of fifteen cents and taking advantage of it to the fullest.

Several Tricks for fooling your poker competition

Posted under Poker & poker tips & poker tournament

poker
A very important characteristic in the game of Texas Hold em is conning your opponents by leading them to believe you have a superb poker hand, when in all honesty you could possibly you have the worst hand at the table. You may have heard this referred to as “Poker face”, an unreadable expression to trick your competitors into supposing something that might not be true.

Having a good hand is most likely going make you feel more anxious, could possibly cause your hands to shake, and your pulse race. These are tell-tale signs that your poker competition may notice very fast, especially if they know you well. Take care not to look at the pot if you have a good poker hand. This is an obvious gesture for your poker buddies that you are, in your head, adding up how many poker chips are in the pot.

In the situation where you have a mediocre or dreadful hand, try not to keep yourself from glancing at your poker buddies, don’t lower your head, and don’t act reluctant about your bet. In the event that you can convince yourself that your hand is just as good, or better than your fellow poker players; you will possibly fool them into believing this as well. Try to remember to make this seem as normal as possible. Your gestures and actions could be saying one thing, while the things you are talking about are making them believe something else.

Another important aspect of this game is to be conscious of the competition’s “poker tells”. A “tell” is a look or appearance that could might tell you what kind of poker hand they have. One important aspect to keep in mind is when your opponent is acting as though he has a strong hand; he, very likely, has a poor hand. On the contrary, if he is acting as if he’s holding a weak hand, he very likely is holding a strong poker hand.
